Take your TIME but don't waste your TIME

In the words of Lupita Nyongo, the famous Kenyan actress who co-stared Black Panther with late Chadwick Boseman. Her ending tribute reads: " I am going to take my time and in his honour... promise not to waste my time. I hope you do same. What a profound and salient statement!

2020 has called for deep reflections. She has arraigned herself  like a distressed lover replete with heartbreaks. When we think we have had it all, she single-handedly hits her agonizing lovers hard again. Times like this make us wish the game should  be over. It still beats our imaginations how so many unpleasant events have occurred over the globe. What is life, if we all do not have peaks and valleys? No one desires the bad days, not even the richest man on earth. If I had my way, it should totally be eradicated. Perhaps, we have them for balance and so that we can appreciate the good times.

One thing you should do as you ride through the last quarter of the year is to take your time but not waste your time. "Take your time" implying that  you do not take any decision in a hurry. You weigh your actions and plans and ensure they are viable, legitimate and worth going through. You live one day at a time enjoying the present while anticipating the future. Don't waste your time" means that you do not conclude that the year is over and do nothing. Till the alarm rings for 11:59pm Dec 31, 2020 isn't over. Ensure that you are living each day deliberately and intentionally. Your little steps is setting the pace for bigger ones both in this year and the year(s) to come. Do not make light of them.

I like the way the amplified version puts Ephesians 5:16, it says "making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil". I think this passage was written for times like this when the entire universe suffers from a pandemic. Even though, the bible recognises the days are evil, it still says we should make the most of our time. That settles it. No excuse is good enough to give up. Live your best.

Again I conclude, take your time but do not waste your time.
