START YOUR GRATITUDE JOURNAL FOR 2021
November 25 is a special holiday in the United States of America. It is not just a national holiday but a day set aside for Thanksgiving. This makes me wonder, Why will a country set aside a day to thank God, rejoice with their friends and family, and celebrate themselves? Perhaps, they understand the supernatural benefit it brings.
2021 may not have taken the shape you wanted it to take. I heard someone say "2021 is not my year", but then I said to myself, 2021 is not over yet. Why the conclusion ?
It is no news that we have spent about 90% of the year already but it is still too early to give up.
Back to my main gist, have you started to count your blessings? Are you grateful for 2021? Have you seen reasons to thank God for this beautiful year?
Here are three reasons why you need to give thanks
1. Life
This gift called life is something worthy to thank God for. If you were not alive and on earth, you would have no reason to read this message or to talk about Thanksgiving. Please forget about what didn't work well and thank God that you are a living breathing walking talking miracle.
2. Your Pains
Thank God for the challenges that have come your way in 2021. They didn't burn you, neither did you drown in their misery. The fact that you came out strong is a reason to celebrate.
3. Your Victories/blessings
Take a pause, think about all the blessings and victories you've won this year. Focus on the good things that have happened. I bet you have a thing or two to be grateful for.
Many times people are ungrateful because they focus on what went wrong instead of what went right. They channel their energies to all the negative events and outcomes and ignore tha seemingly little positive victories that they had.
Today, I want you to set out some time to write about the good things that have happened this year and thank God for it. Introspect, reflect and release yourself into a positive realm of joy and gratitude. Another good things about Thanksgiving is, it opens up room to receive more of what you are grateful for.
Let me summarise my post in three phrases
Be thankful!
Be thankful!
Be thankful!
